New Zealand has 25 Ski Fields – 18 are commercially operated and the others are club fields. Only a few of the commercial ski areas offer onsite accommodation, which means, if you hire one of our self-contained Euro Campers, you won’t have to worry about booking and paying for your accommodation.  Either freedom camp or find a local holiday park.  The ski season is between July and the end of September.  Key commercial ski fields are:  Mt Hutt, Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Treble Cone in the South Island and Whakapa in the North Island. Walking and Tramping

A classic in New Zealand - short walk or a multi-day tramp, there are a great range of tracks suitable for everyone to enjoy New Zealand’s untouched environment.

There are 9 Great Walks which are premier tracks that pass through diverse and spectacular scenery.  From native forests, lakes and rivers to rugged mountain peaks, deep gorges and vast valleys…there’s a Great Walk for everyone.

These walks are managed by the Department of Conservation.  Walks include:  Lake Waikaremona, Tongariro Northern Circuit, Whanaganui Journey, Abel Tasman Coast Track, Heaphy Track, Routeburn Track, Kepler Track, Milford Track, Rakiura Track.  For more information about these walks go to:  Department of Conservation Website.
